Google has made it pretty plain to everyone that listens they do not care for pure affiliate sites and are in the process of slapping them into oblivion when it comes to search rank position. I believe this will also apply to auto blog sites that pull 100% of their information from Amazon.
What I am suggesting to people who ask is when they build a new site they place a few informational posts only on their website until after Google has your site indexed. No affiliate links. Then after a week or two go ahead and add a few product review posts with Amazon affiliate links set to no follow.
Unfortunately for the old sites that are already populated with multiple product review posts, all you can do is start adding as many informational posts as you can. I have already started doing this on my sites. It is going to be a long process so i am taking it one site at a time.
Erica Stone has come out with an Ebook that gives 10 templates to follow for building ten different informational posts that are very useful to the visitors to our sites.
